Brother John Coffman '66 sent his regrets that he could not come to the Initiation Banquet, but met with Campaign Committee Chairman Bill Frezza '76 to make an Alpha Circle donation to the Ensuring Brotherhood for Generations campaign. 

John told Bill that he had dug up his old pledge-training book from his days as an active, remembering one part in particular - a study of student life at MIT done in 1889 that said: "It was decided that a first-class chapter house was essential to the success of a fraternity." As John added, "The words regarding the first-class chapter house have always stuck with me; they are as true today as they were in 1890. "Believing this makes it very easy to lend a helping hand to the Capital Campaign to keep 32 in first-class condition."
